Tessék is an app for learning Hungarian words. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and how to delete it.
Who processes the data
The Tessék app. Contact: [email protected].
What is collected
- Account. On first launch the app creates an anonymous identifier so your progress can follow you to another device. If you sign in with Google, your email address and Google account identifier are stored as well. The app never receives or stores passwords.
- Learning progress. Which words you have closed in each practice game, card state, and settings: interface language and session size.
- Answer events. The word, the game, whether the answer was correct, the time and the catalogue version. Used to find bad questions and to see which words are hard.
- Content reports. If you report a card, the app stores the boxes you ticked, your comment and the word identifier.
- Text analysis. Text you paste for analysis is sent to Anthropic (Claude API) and processed there to return the grammatical breakdown. Under the API terms that text is not used to train models. A monthly counter of analyses is stored separately for the free quota.
- Crash diagnostics. Firebase Crashlytics: the crash stack, device model, OS and app version, and a random installation identifier. Collected in published builds only.
What the app does not do
No ads, no selling or sharing data with third parties for marketing, no advertising profiles, no tracking across other apps and sites. It does not ask for contacts, location, camera or microphone.
Where the data is stored
Catalogue, accounts and progress live in Supabase, region
eu-west-3 (Paris, European Union). Crash diagnostics go to
Firebase Crashlytics (Google). Text analysis is processed by Anthropic (USA).
Transfers outside the EU rely on the standard contractual terms of those
services.
How long it is kept
Account data and progress are kept while the account exists. Deleting the account erases them immediately, with no copies. Crash reports stay in Crashlytics for up to 90 days and are not linked to your email.
Deleting your account and data
In the app: Profile → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: progress, settings, answer events, reports and the analysis counter go with the account.

Your rights
You can request access to your data, its correction, deletion or restriction of processing, and object to processing, by writing to [email protected]. You will get a reply within 30 days. If the reply does not satisfy you, you may complain to the supervisory authority in your country.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, a new update date will appear here, and material changes will be announced in the app.
